Message series Begins...
"The Church:  The Hope of the World"

We have had an incredible week at First General...
Monday Night we were privileged to baptize 2 young people following an Awesome night of Celebrate Recovery.  Then last night for Splash we had an all time record attendance of 93!!!  This coming Sunday we will be starting a new message series called "Getting Ready 4 Company".  I am excited about what the Lord has in store for us! 
We've got to get ready!!!
God is on the move and I don't want to be left behind.  He promised to build His Church.  I will talk about 3 parts to the Church truly being the Church:

1. A Powerful Confession of Christ's place in our life.
2. A totally sold out love for God (mind, body, and soul)
3. A Christ-like love for people.

We will be initiating a new ministry called "First Impressions".  It will deal with Hospitality and Customer Service... 2 things that the world has come to expect.  We are aiming to be fully staffed, trained, and fully functioning for Easter and every Sunday following!
Also, within a couple of weeks - I will have Invite Cards ready for you to invite your friends, family, co-workers, grocery store clerks, fast food workers, total strangers...to Easter services at First General.  We'll be starting a new Message series called - "Kid Stories"  IT IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!! We will be using the top 9 all time favorite Bible stories and bringing them into our modern, busy, crazy lives and learning truths about ourselves and God from each of the stories.  I am so excited about this series.  Can't wait for Easter!!!
Each of you needs to bring a pew full - and that's a challenge.
Let's pack the house and raise the roof and let Jesus Reign Down on Us!!!
